Wild garlic, another name for Ramsons (Allium ursinum) is as abundant as ever along the damp parts of the riverside path in our Reserve. All parts of the plant are edible, and the flowers make a tasty and decorative addition to salads. The rhubarb like leaves are butterbur.

Wild garlic leaves are easily mistaken for lily of the valley, which is poisonous and possibly deadly.
