Spring Bird Walk 2017 PDF Print E-mail

Paul Highman led 15 of us around the Nature Reserve on a cold bright calm morning, starting at 6 am.

A total of 30 species were seen/heard, including numerous warblers.

The highlights were a large flock of Sand Martins feeding over the river close to their nesting bank, and a magnificently coloured male Bullfinch in bright sunlight at the top of an ash tree.

Paul's knowledge and expertise was greatly appreciated.
