Dear Friends,

All are welcome to attend this meeting on the 18th November 2013 at the University, hosted by the City Council Parks Department, details below.

You will recall they have taken on the overview and support role for the Local Nature Reserves following the axing of the Wild Derby project earlier this year.

If you plan to attend please could you let me know by 17th Oct so I can give Duncan an idea of numbers.

Regards

Dear Friends Groups

Just to confirm that our final meeting of the year is on Monday 18th November (5.30 p.m. arrival and light buffet for start at 6.00 p.m. and end at 8.00 p.m.) and I'm pleased to say that the University of Derby has kindly agreed to host it at the Kedleston Road campus.  The proposed room will allow us a much greater capacity than normal to enable it to be more of an event than a standard meeting and we won't need to restrict numbers to just 2 or 3 representatives from each group.

We're at the planning stage but the general idea is for several presentations which should be interesting and informative.  We would also like to present some awards to celebrate the work and achievements of Friends.  Please would you think about this for now and I will follow this email up with further details and a nomination form which you could promote within your group.

I don't yet need definite numbers or names from you but it would be helpful to get an idea of roughly how many places your group would like; I would then let you know towards the end of October / early November if we can accommodate everyone.

Would your group / organisation like to bring along a display to show the work of your group?  If so please let me know.

Finally, if you have any requests or suggestions for the evening don't hesitate to inform me

To summarise, please would you get back to me by Thursday 17th October with:

 1.    An idea of how many of your group would like to attend the event

2.    Would you like to bring a display to show at the event?

3.    Any suggestions.

I will send a further email and nomination form, once created, regarding the proposed awards.

Kind regards
