As you will have
guessed the event was a bit of a wash-out, though John Gabb and I had a
pleasant walk around in the wind and rain. There was little to hear or see.
glorious weather, 30th April, brought out all we had hoped to see, including
A Great spotted
Three Willow warblers
Four Whitethroats - displaying over shrubs near the river. First
of the year I think. (I'm sure this is the unidentified warbler we heard on
A Swift - also first
of the year I think.
Four House martins, also seen on 28th April
There were also
several butterflies, including peacock, small tortoiseshell, and orange-tip.
